Okcept manifesto

I. We support people who create

You see opportunities and find solutions even in difficult circumstances. We value your initiative.

Our team believes a financial tool should help a business fulfil its commitments and save time. Okcept should support the way your company works and give you the freedom to change it.

That is why creating invoices is free. We aim to make the widest possible range of everyday Okcept features free for businesses that are just getting started.

II. Everyday work should be simple

Create and send invoices and completion certificates using your own templates, add documents from other programs, store contracts, approve payments and organize invoice payments. Connect a messenger to work through chat. Related correspondence, documents, approval records and sending histories stay with the transaction.

A well-organized approval records who should be paid, how much, for what and on which terms. Keeping that context with the invoice saves time today and reduces the need to reconstruct events later.

Start with a single invoice and bring in your team, budgeting and additional tools as you need them. Support can help you get started. Our open API and Swagger documentation are available for connecting other software.

Okcept is an evolving MVP. We are expanding its everyday features and the path from preparing a document to completing a payment.

III. A clear financial picture you can verify

We are building the Okcept calculation model around three principles: double-entry bookkeeping, completeness of information and reliable data.

Double-entry bookkeeping. Luca Pacioli published the first printed explanation of this method in 1494. Its underlying principles remain in use today.

Completeness of information. The financial picture should include everything material to understanding the position of the business. Invoices, contracts, related documents, decisions and execution records should be kept together and connected.

Reliable data. The source, basis and status of every amount should be clear. Users should be able to verify a figure and understand how it was calculated.

We are developing a single model that connects everyday work with invoices and payments to cash flow statements, profit and loss reports, and management balance sheets.
